The Shar-Pei....
The Character, The Shar Pei is a very intelligent Breed. They are calm and independent and very devoted to their family.
The Shar Pei is a friendly dog but against strangers somewhat standoffish. Sometimes they can be jalous when they feel that another dog gets to much attention. And he let you know by getting your attention. The Shar Pei is a good guarddog. He protects the house and family very well. The Shar Pei is easy to keep with other animals , especially when they grew up with them.
They are easy to House- breaking , sometimes they are when they leave to their new owners.
The Shar Pei is a very proud and friendly dog but sometimes there is a bit a communication problem between them and other dogs. They think the Shar Pei is aggresive because off his wrinkles and his snore sound.
Most of the wrinkles disappear when the Shar Pei grew up.The wrinkles on their head look like the Chinese sign for " Long Life "
And there are two different mouth shapes, the Bonemouth and Meathmouth. The mouth of the Shar Pei is required to have a scissor bite. The Shar Pei is a active , compact dog who needs a lot of movement to keep it in good shape. All colors are allowed except White.
A blue colored tongue has a permit.The ears are small , and they are slightly rounded at the tip, and they must
point to the eyes. The eyes are almondshape and darkcolored and signs of irritation are highly undesirable.
